We’re on a mission to introduce mead to a wildly unprepared audience.
There was a time that mead, alcohol brewed from honey, was the staple of European villagers. A brew that was delicious, lasted well and required only a few, natural ingredients. Yet, through the ages, we have lost our sense of awe and love for this wonderful drink.
The world grew bigger and gave way to industry. Fields of grain replaced fields of flowers. New concoctions emerged, and captured the fancy of a whimsical populace. Something perfect was almost lost to the ages and viewed as a relic.
We, at the Viking Alchemist, are working to recapture the awe and discovery that surrounded mead. And we have made improvements and enhancements…

For the fifth time, our Bliss has been voted Best Mead in Georgia in the Georgia Trustees Wine & Spirits Challenge!
Bliss is made by adding pear and almond in secondary. You get a subtle amaretto aroma and flavor as you drink this sweet mead. One of our Signature meads, Bliss is available year round in bottle, tap and growler.

You can find our meads in select bottle shops throughout Georgia. You can also sample all our dry, sweet and session meads at our meadery to find the brew that fits you perfectly.
The Tap Room features flights at $8.50 a piece for 5 meads. While many of our meads are available in stores, you can try all of our meads in our Tap Room in Marietta, Georgia.
